When Naruto has a day that he can't come to babysit for, Sawyer's left at a bit of a loss as to where to go. He thinks first of the parents that he's friends with, ticking off the people that aren't an option. Between schedules not aligning and life being too chaotic on other fronts, Sawyer's left with Jax as the best option.
Which is, oddly, a relief in a way.
Bundling Clementine up for the weather, Sawyer makes his way over to the hospital, slightly skeptical of the daycare that he's entrusting her to. Hospitals on the whole make him nervous. Even though they look clean, there's such a negative, nervous energy in some of the wards. He only hopes that the pediatric wards are happier and have a more positive focus, all catered towards keeping kids happy rather than working on ailing bodies. He's begged off as many hours as he could for the day, meaning that he has all of a couple of hours to acclimate Clementine to the workers at the daycare.
He's hoping the fact that Jax's boys are familiar to her will help in the transition.
"Hey," Sawyer greets Jax as he steps inside the main room. From his hip, Clementine stares down thoughtfully at the myriad of toys on the ground, her hand tightly gripping Sawyer's scarf. So far, there aren't any alarm bells going off in her behavior. "Sorry we're a little late. Took longer than I expected to get her fed this morning."
