Newt waves a hand carelessly, maybe a little to close to TR's face but he barely notices because those drinks had come in some pretty tall glasses, okay, and he might be feeling just a little bit buzzed. "I'm not worried. I've got the eight million other doctorates, somebody will take me." He pauses, looks to TR because wait, is he worried? He's a little worried now. "Somebody will take me, right?"
He orders a shot because he hates feeling helpless and would rather let the feeling go numb than deal with that negativity. He does brighten a little when TR mentions Godzilla, though. "Yeah, kinda, except more real and way more badass, dude. Like... wow, I could talk about them all day, there are all kinds of different categories and sizes and they've got different traits but they're all part of a hive mind." Newt's pretty sure he's got stars in his eyes right now, espeically when he sees the expression on TR's face, but it's the guy's own fault. You don't get a kaiju expert started on the subject of kaiju and expect him to slow down at all. "They're way toxic, basically biological weapons, like their blood? Whoa, it's called kaiju blue, if you touch it, you're already as good as dead. Breathe it in, you're screwed, too. These guys are awesome." He puffs his chest out, proud. "And I'm the one who figured out how to stop them from, you know, exterimnating mankind."
