For a second, I'm expecting that Neil's headed on over to kick me out of the place. Seems the only reason that he'd head on over here himself, rather than sending one of the wait staff. Then he opens his mouth, and it becomes pretty clear that the guy's pissed. Still.
I guess that ain't much of a surprise.
I figure that either I gotta go and lose track of Jack in the process, or I just try to keep out of Neil's hair as much as I can. Unless he gets some kinda kick out of glaring at me, I guess.
"Can I get a beer?" I ask, probably with more than a little cheek.
